Okay, no excuses, just the facts.
New job is great, and takes up a lot of my time. I come home exhausted, and end up having to take a nap in the afternoon. Of course, it probably would help if I went to bed at a decent hour the night before. After so many years of having no job, and working from home before that, I have gotten into a serious habit of staying up until midnight or longer at night.
I haven't been knitting much lately. I just finished a baby bonnet done in basketweave, and am now working on a sweater to match. I had started the 5 hour baby sweater, and got stuck cuz I can't find my markers, and am at that point where I need to divide the sweater up into sections. I finished my booga bag, and threw it in the wash. It felted okay, but I think I'm going to try felting it again. I need to find a box that is the right size to dry it on before I do it. And then there's SIL's sonnet sweater to finish, and of course, the Marilyn sweater for my dear daughter. And now that she's back into ballet/jazz she wants a ballet sweater. So, I guess I need to get my butt in gear and finish some of these projects. I must admit I love the baby stuff the most, it's always so fast and quick, and I love that sense of accomplishment. The thing is that I don't know anyone with babies, so I don't even know why I am doing these, other then that are so cute!
So today is a red-flag warning day, which I heard yesterday that it's illegal to use your barbeque on a red-flag day. Okay, so it's like a hundred degrees out and I don't have air conditioning, and I'm supposed to use my oven? No, we're going to have salad for dinner! But, in about 10 minutes, I am going to use my oven. It's only about 68 degrees out right now, so I am going to use my peaches from the backyard, and make a peach cobbler and a peach pie before it gets too hot.
Well, off to start the cobbler.....
