Purls and Lace

Just some thoughts on my day, my knitting, and life in general

Knitting Olypmics, Stitches West, and the Wicked Witch

Well, it has been a long time since I entered anything here. I have good intentions all the time. Just not the time. I am using a new piece of software for blogging. It’s called MacJournal. First time using it so, I don’t know if it I will like it or not. I was using ecto but after I upgraded it the last time it quit posting my entries. So, now it should be easier for me to blog.

I did not officially sign up for the Knitting Olympics, but I am working on a baby layette while I watch the Olympics. One of my co-workers is expecting a baby in June, and she told me about it the week before the Olympics started. I must say that I was surprised at how the Knitting Olympics made the news. It was on our local news here, and has been broadcast on the nation wide news all over the country. How wonderful that such a large community of women can get such notice for a good thing!

Yesterday was the first day of Stitches West, which I did not make it to, but I will be going this afternoon to the Marketplace, as soon as Ms. Piggy brings back my car! It is very trying having a 17 year old driver in the house. The car seems to be gone all the time. I am not happy with her right now, and she may be losing car privileges for a while. However, I have full intention of using my credit card until it burns today!
